Community Involvement

SMI Hotel Group willingly accepts its responsibility to give back to the communities in which it does business. Through financial support, the gift of service and time of our team members, and in-kind donations, SMI hotels and their leaders aspire to be responsible corporate citizens.

Additionally, as we want to be good stewards of the environment, all of our Virginia hotels are certified as Virginia Green Lodging properties. Our IHG affiliated properties have adopted the Green Engage program, and our Marriott Hotels utilize the MESH Tool. Both monitor our hotels'  environmental impact and help to reduce each property's carbon footprint.
